Internship

Internships form an integral part of the Library and Information Science curriculum, offering students experiential learning opportunities that align with the program outcomes and institutional goals of employability and professional development. By engaging in real-world library environments, such as academic institutions, public libraries, archives, and digital repositories, students apply theoretical concepts to practical scenarios. These internships enhance skill sets in cataloguing, reference services, digital resource management, and user support, while also fostering essential soft skills like communication, collaboration, and ethical practices. The structured internship programmes not only strengthen industry-academia linkages but also ensure that graduates are workplace-ready and capable of contributing effectively to knowledge-based institutions.
