We believe that teaching can be made impactful only through a working relation between students & the faculty members. Therefore, the standard method of classroom teaching is supplemented with use of objective based instructional material & audio-visual aids.

Emphasis is laid on organizing seminars, workshops & inter-college competitions in Sanskrit, organizing educational tours and guest lectures by eminent outside experts in their field.

To empower women through education of Sanskrit language. The department aims to make Sanskrit a widely spoken language among women and to help them appreciate the ancient Indian thoughts captured in rich learning of the language. We aim to enlighten women by propagating great scientific truths hidden in ancient Indian scriptures and manuscripts written in Sanskrit.

We continuously strive to build confidence in women through constant motivation and encouragement.

  • Institutional Goals
    • Provide access to higher education for women through formal and non-formal streams including adult and continuing education.
    • Provide a wide range of professional and vocational courses for women to meet the socio- economic demands.
    • Develop scholarship and research in emerging areas of study, particularly with focus on Women’s perspectives.
    • Inculcate among women positive self – concept, awareness of women’s issues and rights with a rational outlook towards society.
    • Enhance purposeful Education with ‘Human Values’ and social responsibility by participation in outreach programmes.
    • Achieve excellence in the academic disciplines, research and extension activities through emphasis on ‘Quality in every activity.’

    • To acquaint students with ancient Indian Cultural Heritage.
    • To create ability to achieve a good command over all the three abilities in Sanskrit language – speaking, Reading and Writing.
    • To acquaint students with prevalent intellectual traditions.
    • To conduct comparative study of religion, mythology and philosophy
