Academic growth of the students, popularity of the work of the students and the department.
Highlights
The department has been established in 1984. But it has changed its course from M.A. Art and Painting to M.V.A. Drawing and Painting from the year 2008, as a natural growth, since the university also has the bachelors programme in visual arts. Hence it has been only three years that the department has started with the master degree programme in visual arts, that is purely based on the creative aspect of the students. It also helps the student to be able to think and talk about their own work. The department has all the modern facility that will help student to work better, like computers better display facilities, audio visual teachings. The department is well balanced with two staff, one with more of theoretical orientation and the other one with practical orientation. Thus students get benefit with both the different stream of fine arts learning.
